Judy Messoline moved to Colorado to raise cattle. But the herd didn't thrive too well on the dusty grasses around her ranch in Hooper. So she sold them off and started looking for a new business venture. That's when she decided to build a UFO watchtower.
And, apparently, it's going gangbusters.
That's what a new video report, uploaded to YouTube on Jan. 29, seems to imply. The citizens of Hooper have been seeing things in the skies for decades and having a nice, quiet place to keep an eye out was just the ingredient missing to make the town one of the latest UFO hot spots in the nation.
Vice Media covered the story for their "Spaced Out" series, instead of the usual mixed bag about incredible, natural phenomena seen in deep space. This time they decided to stay a little closer to home.
The various witnesses don't describe anything too exotic, and the graphics don't include any actual UFO videos or photos. But the message is clear. True believers have a new haven to indulge in their hobby, and a nearly bankrupt rancher has found a thriving new business model to keep her farm going.
How long will it take until big city residents catch on and cash in?
