Arsenal’s midfield is set for a major boost this weekend as Aaron Ramsey is welcomed back into the squad after having been out for months due to injury.
The Welshman was a major scoring threat for the Gunners up until the holiday season having found the back of the net 13 times.
“Having someone like Ramsey, who can help the team be successful, is very important,” he said.
“He has worked very hard in training but what he lacks is competition.”
Everton is just four points off of Arsenal in fifth place, giving the Toffees all the motivation they might need heading into the fixture. And for Arsenal, if they are going to hope to challenge for the top spot, or much less, stay in the Champions League places, they’ll need a result.
“Every game becomes vital,” Wenger said. “We have a small percentage chance of winning the title, but we have to give everything to make it possible.”
Ramsey just signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal in March.
