Ramona Singer's sister spoke to a tabloid earlier this afternoon regarding the end of her marriage.

In the new interview, Singer's sister revealed her shock at Mario's betrayal and revealed she was happy that the "Real Housewives of New York City" star would be moving on.

“I never thought Mario would do something like this to my sister. I can’t believe this happened, period,” Sonya Mazur told Radar Online on Aug. 8. “I’m shocked to hear she’s going to leave. I think it’s unbelievable. I thought they were the perfect couple.”

Singer's husband, Mario, was photographed with his 32-year-old mistress, Kasey Dexter, earlier this month in New York City. According to photos obtained by In Touch Weekly on Aug. 7, Mario and his mistress dined at Anassa Taverna on Aug. 2, where they were seen cuddling with one another and kissing.

Yesterday, Singer revealed her decision to move on from her marriage with fans, telling her Twitter followers, "I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life.”

For nearly a year now, Singer has been plagued with reports of her husband's alleged cheating, so perhaps parting ways is best. While leaving the man she's spent the last two decades with will surely be a challenge, no one deserves the treatment she's receiving.

It would have been one thing had Mario apologized and did what he could to win Singer back, but all he appears to care about is spending more time with the woman that drove them apart.
