The United Way Suncoast celebrated its 10th anniversary of the “Art of Giving” event yesterday and it included a fashion show, held at Tampa’s Peter O’knight Airport, one of the most luxurious private jet hangers in the area.
The show was hosted by WFLA News Channel 8 news anchor Rod Carter and it included the designs of fashion designer and former Project Runway contestant Rami Kashou as well as a personal appearance by Project Runway’s host Tim Gunn.
Tim was interviewed by Carter and they discussed some of the latest fashion trends as well as Tim’s new TV show “Under the Gunn”.
The event also included silent and live auctions of very expensive handbags and trips to New York, South Africa and more. All proceeds from the event and the auctions will benefit the United Way Suncoast’s Early Literacy Initiative (ELI), a program that helps children improve their reading skills through parental support, engagement, training and community awareness.
