Sundance smells like sunshine and feels like silk. A rambunctious overgrown puppy, Sundance is a very handsome dachshund mix, probably 1/2 dachshund and the rest some kind of Heinz 57 lab mix.
An extremely affectionate dog, Sundance loves belly rubs and lap time. He follows his foster mom around all day, in the hope he’ll get a face rub. When he naps, it’s usually right on top of his friends in a puppy pile.
He is NOT good with cats, but he loves children and would be happiest in a home with a little boy or girl to cuddle with and sleep with. Because he’s rambunctious, he wouldn’t be a good choice for families with toddlers or infants.
Sundance would NOT be happy as an only dog. He has a lot of puppy energy and needs a young, playful friend. Wrestlemania is his favorite game, but he also enjoys flinging his toy around and catching it. Although he seems to prefer playing with other boy dogs, he would like a playful female, as well.

He’s not an apartment or condo dog; he needs a backyard and a doggie door. His long legs make him a good choice for people with stairs in their homes.
Sundance loves to go for walks and will happy go as often as his human will take him. Even though he’s rambunctious, he’s quiet and seldom barks. He will sleep in his crate at night, but he’d prefer to sleep with his people.
He’s housetrained and will go outside to potty even when it’s raining, a rare quality in a dachshund. He’ll need a brief refresher course in his new home.
Crate trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, Sundance would love to meet his forever family.
