On Tuesday, March 15th from 9:30am to 3:00pm, The American Lung Association will sponsor the "Rally for Respiratory Health". This seminar will focus on the best ways to manage and treat COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), as well as understanding how to support a loved one with COPD and an opportunity to hear inspirational stories from individuals living with this disease.
The use of tobacco and smoking is a major cause of COPD, which effects the lungs. This condition is a combination of chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is irreversible but the progression can be halted if the patient stops smoking.
The Rally for Respiratory Health will be held at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Hospital, 39000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA.
