RAK Airways announces routes to Sudan beginning in December

RAK Airways, a national carrier of the UAE, announced on November 3 that they have expanded service to 10 destinations with service to Khartoum, Sudan.

Beginning on December 15, 2011, RAK Airways will offer three flights a week to Sudan’s capital city.

RAK Airways operations were re-launched last year with two routes to Jeddah, KSA and Calicut, India, and included a renewed focus on extending its route network across the GCC, Indian sub-continent, and North Africa.

In the weeks following the carrier’s first anniversary, they announced flights to Peshawar and Lahore in Pakistan, Kuwait, and an increase in frequency to its Doha flights to seven times a week.

"We had a clear mandate to fly to 10 destinations within one year of re-launching our operations, “ said Omar Jahameh, CEO of RAK Airwayrs. “With the introduction of our flights to Khartoum, we have achieved our objective and laid the foundation for a successful and profitable future for the airline."
