This year's Rhythm and Joy Festival will be one of the best shows they have had in the history of the event. Popular artist such as Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Common and headliner Chaka Khan will take the stage this weekend October 4-6. The gathering will be at held at the beautiful Hummingbird Nest Ranch, just one hour outside Los Angeles in the Simi Valley. The ranch is located in the breathtakingly gorgeous Santa Susana Mountains-the perfect place for a "Rastafarian Woodstock," as many locals refer to the event.
Raj is a great time for the entire family to enjoy. Families can enjoy many attractions such as Trance Dance, Yoga, Capoeira, Qi Gong and meditation classes. Young adults from 14 – 20 can join music, mural making, song writing, art, poetry, dance workshops and dance battles. The experimental dome at Raj enhances guest visual exploration with film, visual music, light shows and curated exhibits with site specific art created by emerging artist from Los Angeles.
With Raj being conscious and green friendly from the performing artist to its attractions, the festival would not be complete without healthy savory cuisine and the inspirational talks from over 15 speakers around the world to enlighten and heal your mind.
