As with all nonprofit organizations such as the River Bend Nature Center of Faribault, Minnesota, there are various options in play raising funds for the coming year. The week of September 12 has been designated as membership week for the center which is located on the east side of Faribault, Minnesota off of highway 60.
As a private, nonprofit organization, the River Bend Nature Center recieves no regular municipal or government funds. While membership week is in progress, the center will be trying to raise awareness of the need for members to support the River Bend mission which is to help people discover, enjoy, understand and preserve the incredible natural world. As part of this annual event, the River Bend Nature Center board members will be making personal calls to past members to invite them to renew memberships in support of the center as well as to recruit new members whether individuals, families or businesses.
The River Bend Nature Center maintains 743 acres of publically-accessible land through the various methods of fundraising, donations and memberships. They also offer various programs for all ages of people which is why various methods of fundraisering are held throughout the year by this. The Ramble and Dine Out events are examples of various fundraisers held at or for the center.
If you would like more infromation to potentially join the center or otherwise support it during this fundraisere week, the River Bend Nature Center can be reached at 507-332-7151or visit their website.
