Rain at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Saturday has forced the cancellation of qualifying for the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the track. As a result, Darrell Waltrip will start on the pole, with Ryan Blaney alongside in second by virtue of their fast lap times in first practice on Friday.

The Kroger 250 is only the second race of the season for the Truck Series, the first since racing at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 22. Qualifying for the Daytona race was also rained out, so the Truck Series has yet to run one of NASCAR's new "knock-out" qualifying sessions.

"How long has it been? Like three years since we've raced; that's what it feels like," Wallace said. My hair has gotten this long, and it's horrible, since I haven't cut it since Daytona. It's good to be back in the Toyota Tundra here this weekend in Martinsville."

Timothy Peters and Erik Jones will start on the second row, with Peters in third and Jones fourth. Starting fifth through 10th will be Ron Hornaday, Ben Kennedy, Brian Ickler, German Quiroga, Cole Custer and Matt Crafton. Hornaday turned in the fastest lap in the rain-abbreviated second practice.

Only 36 drivers were prepared to make qualifying attempts, had the qualifying session been held. All 36 will be in the race.
