Rain changing to snow today with light accumulations possible (Video)

A low pressure system over northern Ohio will move east across Pennsylvania today. Rain and snow with a few pockets of freezing rain continue across the area this morning. Through late morning, colder air will filter southward across the area changing all precipitation over to snow. Periods of snow will continue through this afternoon.

Accumulations across northwestern Pennsylvania today will generally be light with 1 to 3 inches expected at most locations. Temperatures today will reach the 30s this morning, then fall to the 20s this afternoon.

Snow showers will linger through the evening, then end overnight tonight as high pressure builds across the region. There could be some additional light accumulations. Lows will fall to around 10 degrees.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and chilly with a few flurries possible. Highs will top out in the mid 20s.

A milder southwesterly flow of air will spread across the region Saturday night and Sunday bringing moderating temperatures to the region. It will be cold Saturday night with lows falling to the single digits. However, temperatures will rebound on Sunday climbing to the upper 30s, possible even reaching 40 degrees.

Another storm system will bring a mixed bag of wintry precipitation to northwestern Pennsylvania Sunday night with rain expected on Monday as temperatures climb into the 40s.
