The Oakland Raiders had their match rescheduled against the San Diego Chargers for Sunday due to the Oakland A’s Major League Baseball playoff game against the Detroit Tigers.
As reported on Tuesday, the Raiders and the Chargers are scheduled to play at 8:35 pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST), instead of 1:25 pm as originally planned.
The rescheduling occurred due to a game between the Oakland A’s who have to host the Detroit Tigers for a Game 2 of the American League Division of MLB, which is scheduled on Saturday night at 6:07 pm (PST).
See, the A’s and the Raiders share the O.co Colesium, and the field crew have to have enough time to clear everything. This also includes rebuilding the field to NFL standard and following safety protocol, which takes time.
The postponement of the match between the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers inconvenienced fans and TV networks.
The game was going to be aired by CBS originally. Now, the match will be shown on the NFL Network, which some cable fans do not have.
Also, fans had to change their travel plans to fit with a game that is going to end on close to 11 pm or more. Looks like LA Raiders’ fans and San Diego fans will have to call in sick on Monday for work!
