Raiders aiming to sign defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins

The Oakland Raiders are aiming to add defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins. The defensive player would not be a bad addition to the Raiders since he already has experience working with Reggie McKenzie back during the Green Bay Packers days.

Mercury News reported on Tuesday that Jenkins has already talked with the New York Giants. He is also scheduled to meet with the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks as well.

The article also stated that according to the NFL web site, Jenkins will meet up with the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday.

Cullen Jenkins was released by the Philadelphia Eagles for not paying him a $5 million roster bonus. He is currently 32 years old, but he is a very versatile player.

The Raiders are looking for inside defensive lineman since Richard Seymour departed along with Desmond Bryant, who is now a free agent. Oakland might also lose Tommy Kelly if he doesn’t agree to restructure his contract.

Anyway, Jenkins played with the Packers back in 2004-2010 with Reggie McKenzie working in the front office. Now, McKenzie and Jenkins could have a chance to reunite.
