Radio icon Steve Dahl announces Park West show (Video)

In a notice sent out to his subscribers on March 4 radio icon and podcast pioneer Steve Dahl announced a one-off live show at the Park West in Chicago. On Saturday June 1 the Park West will host Steve’s follow-up to his sold out “Out of the Basement Tour” at the same venue last summer. That well-reviewed show included songs, comedy and special guests.

Steve Dahl has been a fixture in the Chicago entertainment scene for over thirty years. He is best known for his "Disco Demolition" promotion that heralded the end of disco's popularity. Steve was dropped from CBS Radio in 2008 with two and a half years left on his contract.

Five days a week fans can download a new podcast featuring Steve, Brendan Greely and Dag Juhlin of Poi Dog Pondering. Regular guest stars include the Chicago Bear's Tom Thayer and Jeff Joniak, Frank Sennett from Time Out Chicago, and "How I Met Your Mother" writer and producer Tami Sagher.

Subscription to the network also includes weekly podcasts by radio legend Kevin Matthews, television's Dino Stamatopoulos, former Q101 host James VanOsdol and Matt Dahl.

Tickets to the show will be available to Steve Dahl subscribers at a special price during a presale on Wednesday March 6 from 10 am to 5 pm. The general public can purchase tickets on Saturday March 10 at Etix.
