The Radical Reels 2013 film tour will be in Salt Lake City at Kingsbury Hall on Thursday, February 28, 2013. The Banff Mountain Film Festival will present some of the best high-adrenaline films entered into the competition with the Radical Reels tour that feature radically independent spirits taking extreme sports to a new level. Films start at 7:00 p.m. and here is a brief overview of some of the films you will see.
Being There is a film of fun-loving freeskiers that take their sport slope side and high into the stratosphere with their incredible athleticism and determination. It’s about focus and commitment and being in the moment.
Endless Roads will take viewers on a journey with seven female longboarders in Spain to connect with new friends and local riders for some crazy downhill in Mallorca.
Further explores some of the world’s most remote mountain terrain. Jeremy Jones continues his mission to camp deep in the backcountry and on the summits of unridden lines to access nearly vertical spines and wide open powder fields. Jones and his crew push their minds and bodies further on some of the world’s wildest terrain.
In Lacon de Catalonia – Andreu Lacondeguy, a new bike-training compound is purchased by Lacondeguy outside the city of Barcelona, and he discovers just how much big air is possible on such a small piece of land.
A special edit of Where the Trail Ends will be shown that also features Andreu Lacondeguy riding some untouched terrain in different countries. He is joined by several of the world’s top freeride mountain bikers such as Darren Barrecloth, Kurt Sorge, Cam Zink, Tyler and Cam McCaul where they shape the future of big mountain freeriding one steep slope at a time.
It’s going to be an action-packed night full of spectacular extreme sports films that adrenaline junkies won’t want to miss. Sit back, remember to breathe, and enjoy the thrilling ride of the 2013 Radical Reels film festival.
