Just a month before the premiere of season 4 of The Rachel Zoe Project, the fabulous fashion mogul mingled with beautiful people at her Hamptons magazine cover party at Georgica in East Hampton. Now a short month later, she also presented her Rachel Zoe Spring 2012 collection at the world famous Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
While Rachel Zoe, 40, presented her fashions, dedicated husband Rodger Berman held their beautiful, blue-eyed baby boy Skyler. The fall Rachel Zoe collection is now selling out at stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom, as well as Intermix in Southampton. Fans are ready for the spring line with fashions inspired by the seventies included jumpsuits and maxi dresses.
The season premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project premiered on Bravo last week. Zoe admitted she was hoping to have a girl. She cried for a week or more then discovered all the potential outfits a baby boy could don. Zoe had the baby in March and already has her notoriously slender figure back.
Zoe was born in New York City and shows she is clearly comfortable from the big city to the tony Hamptons. People sipped Grey Goose vodka specialty cocktails as the fashionista showed new pieces of the Rachel Zoe Collection at her Hamptons magazine cover party. In attendance were Hamptons magazine editor-in-chief Samantha Yanks and publisher Debra Halpert as well as Zoe's husband Rodger Berman.
Before her NYC Fashion Week presentation, Zoe spent much of her time with her family and new baby boy. She clearly appreciates the men in her life and told Examiner at the party, “Today we took him in the pool at my house and he was in with his grandfather and my husband. That was kind of a dream watching him and my nephew and my dad and my husband.”
Zoe also expressed her enthusiasm for dressing Skyler, “I think that now the newest addition is his own little LV bag, which is kind of crazy, with his initials on it – which was a gift. I did not purchase that, just to be clear.” After a pause, she added, “But why not?”
Discussing motherhood, Zoe admitted it sometimes changes her approach to fashion. Clad in a sensational maxi dress, Zoe said, “Obviously he is not with me tonight because this would be a little tricky chasing him, but I think about that when I get dressed now.”
A a new mom, Zoe still presents herself in a fashion-forward way, saying, “I think I just think differently when I get dressed. As women, you still need to feel good about yourself so take the extra five minutes and put that lipstick on. Just have a lot of go-to's, have a lot of things you know work but are still comfortable but you know you can still hold your child, and still run around and chase them.”
With regard to the fourth season of The Rachel Zoe Project, she stated, “It's a different season this year because obviously I was pregnant through the whole time we were filming. And you know, I think it's more just about balancing career and pregnancy and becoming a mom and all the things a lot of women go through everyday.”
Zoe also discussed her fashion line, describing it as, “ Luxury, really incredible tailoring and unbelievable fabrics, just amazing clothes that are not a million dollars.”
