Rachel Uchitel has been named as the woman involved in an affair with pro-golfer, Tiger Woods. The National Enquirer broke the story and reveals their source as two women, one unknown and the other, a woman named Ashley Samson. Ashley Samson is allegedly a close friend of Rachel Uchitel’s and she and another ‘unnamed source’ gave the juiciest details to National Enquirer. Rachel stated in an interview with Chris Mohney of the Black Book Mag that she is not close friends with Samson and had met her several times. She also pointed out that Ashley Samson was paid $25,000 by the National Enquirer for the gossip.
Rachel Uchitel has not remained silent about being named Tiger Woods’ other woman. Tiger, however, has yet to make a public statement or comment, in fact, the Florida Highway Patrol continue to attempt to speak with him (Tiger Woods is not obligated by Florida law to speak with the police as it is a traffic accident). Rachel Uchitel was interviewed by Chris Mohney yesterday and shared her opinions regarding the allegations.
When asked for her comment regarding the allegations, she pointed to the fact that National Enquirer is not a reliable source of information. She stated, “I don’t appreciate my name or what people think of me being dragged through the mud by people who don’t even bother to research what or who they’re talking about.” Most agree, and what would be nice for fans of Tiger Woods would be if he would publicly deny the allegations as well. It might be that Tiger Woods silence is more damning than the National Enquirer’s lack of credibility.
Rachel states that she was contacted by the National Enquirer regarding the allegations and said that she told them the story was false, “I totally deny the Enquirer story.” She also stated that the National Enquirer did not use any of the quotes that she supplied them with.
Regarding the allegations that she followed Tiger Woods to Australia and checked into his hotel, she points out, “There’s just no possible way I could have done that. You can’t just walk into a place like that and ride the elevator to a floor with someone like Tiger Woods on it without someone seeing you and stopping you.” Though she makes a good point, many who believe the allegations may be quick to point out the names ‘Michaele and Tareq Salahi’.
When asked if she had engaged in the practice of ‘sexting’ with Tiger Woods she stated that her ex’s would be able to confirm that she isn’t a ‘sexter’ or one who engages in frequent ‘sexting’ (for more on women who do practice sexting, check out Gloria Allred sends open letter to Carrie Prejean regarding sexting) Rachel Uchitel stated, “I don’t do it, I don’t know how to do it.”
Regarding her close friendship with Ashley Samson and the other source, she said that she is not friends with Ashley Samson but that she did meet her twice (interesting coincidence is that Rachel Uchitel also stated that she met Tiger Woods twice.
She also said that she believes someone is manipulating Ashley Samson into saying the things she did. She concluded by saying, “After all, she got $25,000 for this.”

Those who criticize the National Enquirer forget that they busted John Edwards, too -- and he lied at first, as well.
Tiger is in deep trouble because it turns out he is a cheater on his wife and now a liar. Innocent people don;t hide from the police for three days. His big endorsement deals are done once the cops prove the wounds on his face were created by his wife and not the accident. Guaranteed.
