Rumors shot across the Internet last week that the first alleged mistress of Tiger Woods would be baring all in a Playboy spread. Gloria Allred, who represents Rachel Uchitel, issued a statement on Friday. It reads, “Rumors that Rachel Uchitel will be appearing in Playboy have been circulating. Those rumors are false. Rachel will not be appearing in Playboy.”
The National Enquirer broke a story claiming that Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel were having an affair and met in Australia for a secret rendezvous. Though Tiger Woods has admitted to sins, transgressions, and infidelity, he has denied the National Enquirer’s story and has not said who he was involved with. A number of women have allegedly been linked to the pro-golfer but these accounts have not all been confirmed.
Rachel Uchitel has denied having a relationship with Tiger Woods. She was interviewed by OK! Magazine and In Touch Magazine published emails that were reportedly from Tiger Woods to Rachel Uchitel. Those emails have yet to be confirmed as authentic, but in an appearance on the Nancy Grace show, the editor of In Touch said that he was convinced they were genuine and published them.
On Friday, December 11, 2009, Tiger Woods announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave from golf so that he may work on his marriage. Rachel Uchitel continues to deny that she had an affair with Tiger Woods.
