Rachel's Kitchen offers some of the highest quality and wholesome food in the Vegas valley. Being honored as having the best smoothies voted by over 12,000 residents, according to The Best of Las Vegas, Rachel's Kitchen has been acquiring more popularity in less than a decade.
Debbie Sofer Roxarzade has always had a passion for good food, yet wanted her gourmet meals to be affordable, so she open up her first cafe in Beverly Hills in 2006, naming the cafe after her daughter, Rachel. Eventually spreading around Los Angeles, she then relocated her family to Summerlin where she brought with her, her passions and visions to move the business to Las Vegas. In 2010, she opened up her first Rachel's Kitchen in the valley, located at the District at Green Valley Ranch, with franchisee, Chris Connors later spreading the company further to Hualapai where a larger franchise was built. On July 28, 2011, she then opened one at Desert Inn, her third store.
Gaining more and more recognition and loving support by the locals, she opened up a fourth business in Downtown Vegas, then smoothed sailed to her 5th and 6th locations located at Centennial Hills, then opened one at McCarren Airport. All business are currently still thriving and gaining more recognition, through social media, word of mouth, events, and local newsletters.
Walking into any of the locations is a mouthwatering site to see within itself. The Walls are carrot juice orange, with airy, and clean lines all through out the cafe. There are ethereal dessert photos hung on the wall and a flat screen television to enjoy sports channels while eating. Umbrellas and chairs are also available outside to shield from the dessert sun. Or if one would like to sit by the window and people watch, there are tall windows as high as the ceiling to enjoy the lighting. Clean and juicy is a way to describe it.
A perk of dining here is that all of the food is grown locally in California so it is fresh and healthy as well as filling as satisfying. The menu consists of simple, light and comforting fare such as the Turkey Burger with 1/3 lb. turkey meat, lettuce, and tomatoes. The most popular dish is the Smoked Turkey Avocado Sandwich, served with Smoked turkey. avocado, swiss cheese, mixed greens, tomatoes and chipotle mayo. All sandwiches and burgers come with a choice of mixed green salad, french fries, sweet potato fries or onion rings. Other choices of food are salad, pasta, juices, wraps, breakfast, and some kids meal choices.
For breakfast, one can order French Toasts with warm maple syrup alone with eggs and a side of mixed fruit, there are delicious pancakes available as an options or one can build their own omelette, order oatmeal, and lots of other choices.
Smoothies, the reason behind what makes Rachel's Kitchen so famous, are deliciously served with produced grown and picked in Califrninia and blended with lowfat frozen yogurt. The Wilshire Smoothie is made with peaches, bananas, pineapples, fresh squeezed orange juice and nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt is yummy way to start off right. There are 7 other smoothies available such as Acai Berry, Hawaiian Bliss, Berry Mania, and Incredible Hulk. Each one offers its own unique set of nutrients and proteins to match your daily needs.
What makes Rachel's kitchen so special is not the spectacular smoothies served here, but the atmosphere as well. It's not too bright, with natural daylight filling in and at night, cozy soft lighting, to give of a nice ambience. Mo, a server, states, "The orange theme is what makes us special." Whatever reason there may be for coming here, Rachel's Kitchen is delicious food and a happy place to be.
