Rachael McAdams has ended her two-year romantic relationship with “Midnight in Paris” co-star Michael Sheen, according to a Feb. 27 report on US Weekly.
The story began when the two stars met at a party for Sheen’s “Beautiful Boy. Together, they filmed the Woody Allen romantic comedy and news of their relationship broke when the film wrapped in 2010.
The “Mean Girls” star says she and Sheen became “quite good friends” while filming in Paris but that their relationship didn’t take a romantic turn until after the film wrapped.
Though neither party has revealed the reason for the split, McAdams has said earlier that they did their best to make a long-distance relationship work. She calls Toronto, Canada home while he splits his time between Los Angeles and Wales. McAdams says she and her beau never spent more than three apart at a time and that aspect of their pairing caused them to rack up lots of frequent flyer miles.
Prior to the run with Sheen, Rachael was engaged to her “Notebook” costar, Ryan Gosling. Sheen’s past amours include Kate Beckinsale with whom he a daughter, Lily Sheen, 14.
