Is CNN turning into Fox News? First, there is the planned joint coverage of the next Presidential debates by CNN and the Tea Party .
Then the networks decision to run the Tea Parties response to the Presidents State of the Union given by Tea party favorite Michele Bachmann.
Once the touchstone for unbiased political news CNN appears to leaning more to the right then ever. This could call into question the networks credibility and its ability to cover the news objective.
The Republican Party's official response was given by Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and was covered by all the major networks, but CNN was the only network to cover Bachmann’s Tea Party remarks.
A decision Rachel Maddow of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show called, "inexplicable" Maddow also went on to say that, "Michele Bachmann is not the national spokesperson for the Republican Party, she is unlikely anytime soon to be chosen to be the spokesperson for her party.
But tonight, inexplicably, a national news network decided that they would give Michele Bachmann a job that her own party never did."
Maddow continued by calling CNN decision to air Michele Bachmann's remarks,
"A remarkable act of journalistic intervention to elevate, in effect, a group with which they are co-sponsoring a presidential debate...to the level of the major parties in this country." Rachel Maddow said she was at a loss to explain CNN's choice.

You don't see CNN giving credence and precedence to any progressive or liberal groups (i.e. the Green Party, the Liberal Party, etc.) by giving them airtime as well. It's not at all fair and balanced reporting. If CNN had any journalistic integrity, they should have given airtime to left leaning groups also (instead of just hyping up the Republican front group Tea Party express in order to give it validity since CNN is co-hosting debates with them in the near future.) It’s all about money and ratings for CNN. They showed Bachman’s/Tea Party Express’s rebuttal and are co-hosting events with Tea Party express in a deliberate attempt to try to pull the right wing viewers from Fox. CNN has lost any credibility for fair/balanced reporting and has completely whored out any journalistic integrity they may have had for a buck!
I thought the same thing. Why in the world would they air that gasbag from up north? She is terrifying to watch in her mannerisms, and worse, her choice of commentary is rift with error. They did elevate her, and she certainly failed to ascend to the lofty plateau. WWII fight of Iwo Jima is akin to their fight against Health Care reform? ummm, ok... FAIL.
Speaking of fail, who writes the articles? "its ability to cover the news objective."
There's an extra space after news, and the correct word would be objectively. I'm always happy to help. May I have a job?
