Last week, Team Rachael said goodbye to weak link Gilbert Gottfried, leaving them with only three team members (Hines Ward, Kathy Najimy and Carnie Wilson). Did they end Team Guy’s winning streak? Read on to find out….
The teams have gathered at the Underwood Family Farms, where they had to cook family style for 25 of the farm’s workers using protein and the farm’s vegetables. After searching all across the farms for their respective crops, the seven remaining celebrities began to prep their meals.
All of the celebrities encountered problems during this challenge. Team Rachael’s captain, Carnie Wilson, was in panic mode because of the time limits of the challenge. While Kathy tried to calm her teammate down, she had problems preparing her Eggplant “Farm”-asean and almost did not make it to present her side dish. The ladies were also worried that Hines was not cooking a dish that was not challenging enough.
Over on Team Guy, Johnny Weir’s problems included working on a grill and had to remake his watermelon salad because the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host stated that it looked too white. Former TLC member Chilli faced grill problems as her raw honey glazed salmon caught on fire and Dean McDermott had to put it out. The T.V. star also had to switch side dishes at the last minute because his fingerling potatoes were not able to boil.
Both teams had some successes and failures during this challenge and Rachael stated that they were proved themselves as chefs. In the end, the Underwood Family Farms employees handed the victory to…Team Rachael. Unfortunately, Team Guy’s Dean McDermott and his team captain: Cornelia Guest. The Bottom Two members of Team Guy faced off in the second Blind Testing of the season. Both of them cooked their best corn dishes in 15 minutes but at the end, it was Terry’s omelet edged out in the Blind Tasting, which sent Cornelia home.
Next Week: The two teams must run their own diner!
