This show is fun and refreshing, meaning the drama that prevails in all other such competitions, is replaced with good-natured taunting from die-hard competitors and the innate desire to succeed that is at the core of celebrities.
On “Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off” the eight celebrities were divided into two teams: The members on Rachael’s team are Florence Henderson, Penn Jillette, Judy Gold, and Jake Pavelka and Guy’s team is made up of Chris Kattan, Vanilla Ice, Tiffany, and Herschel Walker.
They are playing for their chosen charities and the grand prize will be $50,000, and of course the celebrities are eager to win for worthy causes, but also for bragging rights. There will be a winning team every week and the MVP will receive $2,500 for his or her specific charity and by the same token from the losing team one celebrity will be eliminated.
The first challenge was to create a Medieval Dinner and they all jump on their specific dishes with gusto, and at the end of the night Team Guy won and the MVP was Tiffany, but the guest judge Leann Wong decided that no one would be eliminated from the losing team and they will have another week to acclimate and grab a hold of their creativity.
“Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off” runs on Monday night at 9:00 p.m. EDT on the Food Network.
