Race of Champions Modified Tour visits WNY this weekend

The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour makes its first trip to the Western New York area for the 2014 season this weekend with races in the Rochester and Buffalo areas. Race No. 4 on the season schedule is Friday, June 6th at Spencer Speedway in Rochester, and Race No. 5 is Saturday, June 7th at Elegant Builders Raceway Park in Lancaster. Both races are 75-lap events.

Matt Hirschman has been unbeatable this season, having won the first three events on the schedule. Hirschman, the son of five-time NASCAR Modified champ Tony Hirschman, is also contesting the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour schedule this season on a full-time basis.

The RoC Tour will be back in the area on Saturday, July 5th, with a 100-lapper at Holland Speedway. A return trip to Elegant Builders Raceway Park on Saturday, August 16th is for the annual Tommy Druar-Tony Jankowiak Memorial Race, and the third trip to Lancaster is Sunday, September 21st for the U.S. Open.
