The family-friendly fitness event runs along the Lake Michigan shoreline and Racine’s Root River on a scenic USA Track & Field certified 5K course.
Race day registration runs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. On-site packet pickup is available. The 5K run/walk starts at 6 p.m. at Pershing Park.
Post-5K activities include awards presentations for top competitive run finishers overall and in several age categories, a fun run for kids 12 and under, and a paper lantern tribute ceremony.
Participants may register online for the 5K and the youth fun run.
All proceeds from the 3rd Annual Race Against Substance Abuse in Racine benefit Teen Leadership programming by Focus on Community, a substance abuse prevention agency serving youth and adults in the Southeastern Wisconsin community.
