'Race 2' collects Rs 51.35 crores at box-office

According to reports on Jan. 28, 2013, Saif Ali Khan's latest Hindi movie "Race 2", starring Deepika Padukone and others, has earned Rs 51.35 crores ($10 million) in its first weekend after release.

The Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Anil Kapoor starrer surpassed Rs 50 cores mark in just three days, while the other movie which was released on the same day "Akaash Vani" was in second place.

The Abbas-Mastan directed movie is all set to be the first Rs100 crore movie of 2013.

"Race 2", which was released to 3,200 screens in India and across the world, earned Rs 15.12 crores on Friday, Rs 20.72 crore on Saturday and Rs 15.51 crore on Sunday.

The movie even broke the first weekend box-office record of Saif and John Abraham's big hits like "Cocktail" (Rs 36 crores) and "Housefull 2" (Rs 43.5 crores).

The movie is a sequel to 2008 film "Race" starring Saif ali Khan, Akshay Khanna, Katrina Kaif and Bipasa Basu.
