From a family that began producing rum in 1820, Richard has earned a reputation for his passionate pursuit of perfection, while following age-old traditions and introducing modern innovations to the process of distilling, aging and blending rums.

The R. L. Seale Finest Barbados Rum 10 year old aged rum is a blend of pot still and column still rums. The pot still gives the rum good complexity and depth of flavour. The column still allows the final blend to have a much better balanced aroma and taste.

With the color of liquid gold, the 86 proof Seale 10 presents a nutty nose. The body is big but wonderfully well rounded. The delicious butternut taste has a light vanilla accent that comes from the oak and finishes with lingering hints of almonds.

The rum is aged in used Bourbon Barrels of American oak, with additional maturing in Madeira casks of American oak and Brandy casks of French Oak. These influences produce a spirit of intricate and intriguing complexity with layers of subtle undertones.

The bottle is notable for it's unique dark colored glass and asymmetrical shape, adorned with a gold coin. A similar spirit once labeled as Old Brigand 10 preceded this product in the same bottle.

Seale produces numerous rum spirit brands at Foursquare Distillery, including Old Brigand, E. S. A. Field, Doorly's, Tommy Bahama, Taylor's Velvet Falernum, Foursquare Spiced Rum and Crisma Rum Creme.
