R. Kelly's youngest named Jay is 13 and has come out as being transgender on his social media accounts like Instagram and Ask.fm. The girl formerly known as Jaya now identifies as a boy who says he's "transguy"in a story that's trending on June 11.
According to Yesha Callahan, a blogger for The Root, who wrote about this situation on Wednesday, the legendary rapper's son let his dad know about his current orientation three months ago. While R. Kelly has not yet publicly commented on this revelation, Jay Kelly's mom, Drea Kelly is in full support.
The "Hollywood Exes" star reportedly told her child, "'Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, you name it and I would still love you so much,'" stated Jay of the word he received from his mother. He also concludes that she is "very proud" of her kid who told her, "Thank you, Mum, for accepting the fact that I'm a transgender."
Jay, who is about to turn 14 in a couple of weeks on June 28, showed signs of feeling like she was a male quite early in life. In fact, by the age of either six or seven, the girl then named Jaya "slowly started to identify with being a 'he,'" says Hollywood Life.
As a transgender teenager, Jay Kelly has recently stated this fact on social media. He said, "I believe I am a boy and want surgery, and the medication to help me [be] who I was supposed to be."
And so, as Jay, R. Kelly's son, discusses his transgender sexuality for the world to read, this teen is ready to make major changes in order to make a full transition.
