News spread via Rob Base's announcement that DJ EZ Rock passed away last night. “R.I.P Skip (DJ EZ Rock) friends since 4Th grade I’m really going to miss you.” He also tweeted, 'R.I.P Skip (DJ E-Z Rock) my friend. My brother.'

The Harlem hitmaker and Rob Base were best know for the dance hit, 'It Takes Two.' The song pumped out of every club and every high school dance in the Los Angeles area. The backing track included a sample of Lyn Collins' 1972 hit "Think (About It)". The song also found a home on Rolling Stone's list of The 50 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of All Time, and Questlove's Top 50 Hip Hop Songs of All Time, as well as on Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon's 'History of Rap' series.

Sources within All Hip Hop stated that the MC had suffered a massive stroke. However, the cause of death has not been released. Check out the video and relive the old school days of 1980s hip hop.
