A couple of well-known R&B vocalists are taking over Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE this weekend. R&B artists, Charlie Wilson and Keith Sweat will be performing their hits on Saturday, February 15 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.

Charlie Wilson, who also goes by the name, “Uncle Charlie”, has been nominated for a total of seven GRAMMY Awards including his most recent hit, “If I Believe.” To start off his career in the industry, Wilson and his brothers formed The Gap Band which successfully resulted in the most sampled songs in music history spanning fifteen albums. Once the band announced their retirement, Wilson produced several solo albums peaking at #1 on the Billboard U.S. R&B chart. His latest album Love, Charlie was released in 2013 and includes chart topping hits, “My Love Is All I Have” and “I Still Have You.”

Similarly, American R&B singer-songwriter Keith Sweat started his career as a part of the Harlem band, Jamilah. After going solo in 1984, Sweat released his biggest hit from his debut album, “I Want Her” which reached #1 on the R&B charts. The R&B veteran is known for balancing current musical styles, while staying true to his soul tradition roots. Sweat has been nominated for multiple AMA Awards in the past and recently won the Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
