Quvenzhane Wallis and Halle Berry met on the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards in Hollywood Sunday, Feb. 24.
Sharing the red carpet, Wallis, the 9-year-old talent nominated for Best Actress, and Berry exchanged conversation just prior to entering the Hollywood and Highland Center to celebrate the best in motion pictures.
Nominated for her work in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," Wallis confirmed an upcoming role in a remake of "Annie" and revealed just who made the dog purse that she held on to on the red carpet.
"Yes I am," Wallis said when asked if she would be appearing in the "Annie" remake. "I am very excited for everything."
Confirming that her dog purse was made by Poochie and Company, Wallis added "I have a puppy purse and it's named after my doggie named Sammie, who is at home."
In related news, Halle Berry said her Oscar dress was inspired by Bond films, which was apt considering the fact that she presented a rousing tribute to the franchise of films.
"Donatella (Versace) designed this because I said I want to go to the Oscars as a Bond girl," Berry shared on the red carpet.
The 85th Academy Awards were presented from the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood and aired on ABC.
