Top Fuel –

· Brittany Force on heading to Gainesville after her first final-round appearance: “I am so excited and pumped for the Gatornationals coming up this weekend! My team’s energy is still buzzing after making it to our first final in Phoenix a couple weeks ago. Our car has been running extremely consistent especially with new crew chief on board Todd Smith.”

· Khalid alBalooshi on gaining experience: “Last year, and the year before that, I did not have so much seat time. Now I have more experience, and I am very excited to drive this car. I am doing OK, but I still can get better and better and better. When I get more seat time, I get more comfortable in the car. When I get more comfortable in the car, I can do a better job for our team. But what I can tell you right now is that our team is doing a very good job, and I am excited to get to the race track and do my job in Florida this week.”

· Shawn Langdon on pressure as the defending Top Fuel champ: “I don’t feel any pressure; it’s still the beginning of the season. It’s a long season, and we still have 22 races to go. We all know that Alan (team manager Alan Johnson) and Brian (crew chief Brian Husen) will have things figured out; there’s still a lot of racing left. There’s nothing to worry about and no need to panic. We are confident in our team and our tune-up. Everyone on the Al-Anabi team knows we have a car capable of winning any race. We just need everything to fall in place with a little race day luck on our side, and we’ll be fine.”

· Terry McMillen on competing in his sponsor’s race: “There’s going to be 1,400 people there for Amalie and it’s really a compliment to Amalie. It’s a whirlwind weekend, but it’s worth it. I’ve been with Amalie for 14 years and we’re just watching the company continue to grow. I’m pumped up to get out there. I wish the race was today.”

Funny Car –

· Robert Hight on his crew chief Mike Neff: “Mike Neff is one of the best crew chiefs at racing the track. He will get the most out of a tune up and track conditions and that gives you so much confidence as a driver. I know that I just have to do my job. If I have a solid reaction time and keep it in the groove we have a great chance of getting a win light. It is a lot of fun to drive a Funny Car that just pulls the whole way down the track and Neff will give you a race car like that.”

· Courtney Force on Gainesville: “Gainesville has always been a tough track for our teams in the past which makes it that much more of a challenge coming out to Gainesville and makes us hungry for that win. However, the fans are always great at this track. They pack them in every year and the fans keep you excited and motivated with their high energy to be out at the track. We’re ready to give them a great show.”

· Alexis DeJoria on Gainesville: “Gainesville is one of my favorite tracks on the entire circuit. I lived out there for a few years when I raced with Bob Newberry in Alcohol Funny Car. I ran record numbers in my Alcohol Funny Car there. I won my first nitro Funny Car round against John Force, so that was pretty exciting. But on a personal note, my daughter learned how to ride her bicycle in the pit without training wheels, so it's got a lot of firsts for me, and just the fact that the fans are amazing, it's beautiful, and we can run fast down there. So I'm really excited to run Gainesville.”
