Casey and Ethan Jones are offering the fans a glimpse of their youngsters this Sunday on “Quints By Surprise: The Five Turn Five.” The TLC special has the viewers taking a look at the lives of the Jones’ children and catching up with Brooklyn, Britton, Lila and Ryan and Jack who all turned five and celebrated with a sleep over with friends. According to Zap2It on Sunday, this party is so big that each child gets their own pinata.
The quintuplets were born on January 16, 2009 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas, and were a surprise to their devout Christian parents. Having only one older sister, the young couple saw the kids as a blessing and opened their doors for the fans to see how they raised five kids at the same time.
The program was one of the first times that viewers got to see how a fertility treatment resulted in having more than two children at once. Much was made over Casey and Ethan Jones’ decision and some viewer criticized the parents for seeking treatments instead of adopting.
Famous for the oddity of having so many kids, the first season of “Quints by Surprise” aired in 2010. It was a show that had people talking at work, home and even at church as people were intrigued at how the couple handled all the kids. There were 22 episodes of the reality show shot in total but the family haven't appeared on television since 2011. Now, five years later they return once again to intrigued fans who want to see how five 5-year-old children act when they are siblings.
While TLC hasn't indicated this special would be anything more than a one-time look at how the family is coming along, people who remember the family definitely will want to know more. The family became famous for their large family and their values were admired on tape.
“Quints By Surprise: The Five Turn Five” airs Sunday night at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
