Quinn McDonald teaches how to silence inner critic at Changing Hands in Tempe

Creativity coach Quinn McDonald, author of “Raw Art Journaling,” comes to Changing Hands Bookstore Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. to share ideas from her new book, “Inner Hero Art Journal: Mixed Media Messages to Silence Your Inner Critic.” Changing Hands is located at 6428 S. McClintock Drive, Tempe, Ariz.

According to McDonald, everyone has an inner critic, a nagging presence always highlighting one’s shortcomings. But inner heroes are also there, and through the creation of a personal “Inner Hero Creative Art Journal,” she’ll show how to invite an inner conversation that will bring out one’s best self.

A certified creativity coach, McDonald teaches art journaling locally and nationally. She also teaches writing to corporate clients and to adults who are experiencing life transitions. In addition, she writes two columns for Stampington & Company, a publisher of more than 30 mixed-media, art and crafting magazines.
