Quiet, shy senior on the dreaded 'list' in New York

Urgent Death Row Dogs FB page

Update 1/30/14: The Facebook administrator for Urgent Part 2-Urgent Death Row Dogs has moved Gizmo to the "Safe" folder!

On Jan. 18, "Gizmo," a senior Shih Tzu mix, arrived to the New York Animal Care and Control facility in Brooklyn, N.Y., as a stray.

Today, the eight-year-old dog is on the dreaded "to be destroyed" list.

This quiet, older boy arrived to the facility with a matted coat, some cloudiness to his eyes and worn teeth. The staff at the facility has determined that Gizmo should receive a full geriatric exam and he is noted as being best suited for placement with one of the facility's "New Hope," partners.

Time has run out for this senior - please take a moment to share his information with the hopes that it will make its way to the right person who is able to help.
