QuickBooks has been one of the best accounting programs over the years, winning millions of hearts with it’s the most adequate accounting features. It has been wonderful with many perspective but it’s the graphical user interface of QuickBooks which mostly suits the users by guiding QuickBooks users step by step to complete the accounting operations. There are many other features like: multi-user, merchant services, invoicing, payroll which helps QuickBooks to lead the race between many other accounting programs.
Whatever features we have with QuickBooks but if we can’t make the adequate adjustment of company files backup, we can always be in risk. Company file backup is a technical operation to keep our QuickBooks company always safer and with very volatile in nature, it even becomes more compulsory. To address this great concern, Intuit has already included a backup feature with QuickBooks to take backup whenever user wishes. This backup tool is so active that it always prompts to take backup as soon as we try to close any company file. The inbuilt backup operation is so easy that even a non technical personnel can perform the backup and save it at their desired location.
In some cases, we have found that the inbuilt backup tools of any application don’t become very efficient and we look after some third party solutions to make the most important operation going without any issues. Many online backup tools are already there in the market to backup the company files at some online locations to make it more safer. These tools are even capable of running on predefined schedules to make it even more comfortable.
There are some standard practices for QuickBooks backup:
->Perform backup of company files each time we close.
->Perform backup of company files each time we try to convert in different version or edition.
->Perform backup of company files when we relocate it.
->Take a fresh backup at weekends.
