We all know that losing weight is a slow process. It is better for our bodies (especially if you have a lot to lose) to do it slowly to avoid saggy skin. Detox - A detox can be great for your weight loss. It is not something that anyone should do long term, but for a week it's just fine. Some detoxes claim that you can lose up to 14 pounds in a week. That is some serious weight. Detoxing is a great way to slim down quick or to jump starts your healthy diet.

Skip The Restaurants - When dieting long term eating anything in moderation is fine, but when trying to slim down quick stay at home. Meals when going out are loaded with fats and calories. Even salads can be a diet destroyer with their toppings and creamy dressings. Eat your salad at home where you can make your own and avoid all those high calorie items.

Do Not Eat At Least 3 Hours Before Bed - You don't want anything sitting on your stomach when going to bed. Your metabolism slows down when you’re sleeping and your body will store whatever is in there as fat. When trying to get rid of the fat, it is best to eat the majority of your calories early in the day so your body has a chance to burn it all off. Mid night snacking is one of the worst things you can do.

Stop Snacking - There has been a lot of research done on whether it is best to eat 5 or 6 times a day vs. 3 times a day. The outcome has all been about the same. Eating 6 times a day keeps you feeling full longer, but you are prone to snacking on things that may not be a good choice. You feel like you have to eat every 2-3 hours so you eat what is around. If you eat your 3 balanced meals a day than you are more likely to stay away from bad snacking choices.

Plan Your Meals in Advanced - When you have the urge to eat something fatty for dinner it won't be possible. If you have a meal plan set for yourself you can count out all your calories and control your intake. You can even go as far as cooking your meals in advanced and storing them in the freezer in case you run out of time one night. A frozen dinner is by far better than take out. If you plan out your food you take out the option to fail.

Try To Fit in Exercise Whenever Possible - Even if you are only on a 10 minute break at work you can fit in something. Do some crunches while watching tv in the evenings. The more exercise you do, the more fat you will burn. Ten minutes doesn't seem like much, but it all adds up.

Take A Few Supplements - Diet pills have a bad name. Everyone thinks that they are extremely dangerous. Some of them really are. There are some supplements out there, which help boost your weight loss. They don't make your heart beat out of your chest with drugs. They are taken with meals and help take some of the fat out of the foods that you eat. This type of weight loss supplement has had great success, and helps you lose a few extra pounds than diet and exercise alone.

Make Sure You Eat Breakfast - It really is the most important meal of the day. If you skip breakfast your metabolism doesn't get started until you eat. You want as long as possible for fat burning. Try eating first thing in the morning. Eat some protein like eggs, and add some hot sauce and your body will be burning fat all day long.

Brush Your Teeth - That is a given (for most of us). Brushing your teeth gives you that minty clean feeling and tells your brain meal time is over. Brushing your teeth helps you snack less and the smell of peppermint is actually an appetite suppressant. Give your teeth a good scrubbing after every meal and you will end up eating less.

It is Possible to Lose Weight Quickly - You need to follow a strict diet if you want to get into those jeans in two weeks. It is best to lose weight slowly, but sometimes its not an option. Losing weight quickly can be great motivation to keep going. Seeing the scale move every week really helps the self-esteem.
