When it comes to the holidays, food always seems to be a great gift. Whether you are baking breads and cookies or some other delectable treat, sweets seem to top the gift giving list. This tried and true recipe for microwave fudge is so simple the kids can help you prepare it, then give as teacher, Scout Leader, or bus driver gifts. Attach the simple recipe on a nice recipe card and the gift keeps on giving.

Microwave Fudge

  • 3 cups semi-sweet morsels
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 stick butter (4 TBSP)
  • Chopped walnuts, optional

Combine morsels, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Stir well. Microwave on high for an additional 2 minutes. Stir well. Spread into a buttered 8x8 inch dish. Chill. Chop into squares and enjoy.

You may add chopped walnuts before chilling if you are aware of any nut allergies your recipient may have. This is a very rich and creamy fudge recipe that everyone adores. You can put the fudge in a nice tin or box to give as a gift or bring as a hostess gift.
