Questions have arisen about the LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg who was found dead Sunday in her Las Vegas home, and the police are not releasing any details. Nevada police refuse to release details surrounding the death of Blasberg, and questions about how she died have arisen.
The 911 call was made Sunday and police will not say who made the call. The only thing that Henderson, Nevada police have said is that it is a “death investigation.” The CNN video report below states that there was a possibility that Blasberg was smothered.
Blasberg had packed her bags for a trip to Atlanta for a golf tournament. Sunday, Erica Blasberg was found dead in her Henderson, Nevada home; cause of death has not been released. The 25-year-old LPGA golfer was named Golf Magazine's College Player of the Year in 2003.
Chase Callahan, Blasberg’s agent released this statement, "We are devastated to learn of the passing of Erica Blasberg. To most of the world, Erica was known as a professional golfer, but she was more than that.”
Mel Blasberg, Erica’s father told Fox News: "At first glance it looks like she might have taken her own life, but at second glance, something is very, very strange about it. Either way, I lost her and it's impossible to deal with."

Erica Blasberg’s funeral has been scheduled for next Wednesday in California with a memorial service at Eagle Glen Golf Club. The coroner's office won’t have her toxicology tests back for 4-8 weeks.
"Erica was a solid player on the course, and brought a fresh sense of youthfulness, fun, beauty and energy to the brand," Bob Philion, the president of Cobra-Puma Golf said Monday. "She will be greatly missed."
