Question answered with Boehner's latest announcement

See also

John Boehner just announced that House Republicans WILL move forward with the Tea Party plan to threaten a government shutdown over Obamacare.

The vote is expected to hit the House floor in the next 48 hours.

To all appearances, this isn’t just some political stunt. Millions of Americans could see critical programs like Social Security disrupted if the Republicans shut down the government. The Tea Party members will not be immune to the backlash, either. How many are on Social Security or depend upon the government for their income?

Threats like this, that feed an obsession that has existed from the first day Obama took office, should have no place in our democratic government.
