While growing up, young Victor Kim originally hated piano lessons his mother forced him to attend. However, things have since changed as this multi-talented gentleman is stepping out of the limelight that he was used to with Quest Crew, Season 3 winner of ABDC, and moving forward to another limelight - the music world.
Even before this b-boy / breakdancer formed his own crew, he was already tinkering away with music. In high school, he also picked up the guitar and shared the magic of music with his church. As, he climbed the entertainment world of success through Quest Crew, his crew partner Ryan Conferido help make him realize that he's a music artist that can dance. Hence, the birth of Victor King the musician.
With slight sadness, Victor Kim realized he had to move forward in the next chapter of his creative career and decided to take a leave of absence from Quest to create his new music persona, Victor King along with his Kingdom Mentality. That mentality includes all things creative to share to the world and put a smile on people's faces. King is now tapping into his artistic ability with a new shoe line, fashion line, ukelele line, artwork plus skateboard that will exude all that King represents.
Friends, family and guests got a little taste of that on November 16, 2011 with Victor King's EP Release album also availabe on iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/victorkingep/id480765990
King was joined onstage at the Factory Nightclub in West Hollywood with his other creative crew, YTF consisting of D-Trix, JR Aquino, Chester See, Ryan Higa, Andrew Garcia along with KevJumba (who was not in attendance). D-Trix hosted the night as Chester See opened the release party with a few songs. King then sang a few songs from his tracks as he also danced during one of his song's innerlude.
Victor hopes to bring forth a full album in the near future and now thanks his mom for forcing him in taking piano lessons in 2nd grade.
