Queens rabbis embarrass selves, martial arts

In what is easily the funniest thing we've seen all day, a couple videos from CBS-2/NYPOST show what happens when a bunch of Rabbis go all Mel Gibson in the temple.

Queens rabbi Gary Moscowitz is teaching other rabbis gunplay, martial arts and Captain Kirk rolls in order to defend themselves against someone invading their temple and firing a gun while yelling "Al-akhbar!"

The videos simply must be seen to be believed. If you have two minutes, watch the NYPOST video; if you have two more, watch the CBS-2 video, as well. (The CBS-2 video is notable for its excellent rabbinical arm break, but the NYPOST video easily trumps it with its rabbinical table break.) Check them out:

Well, gee. In these times when people wear loaded guns to places where the President is speaking...when people insist that the President wasn't even born in the U.S. (or U.S. territory)...when town hall meetings are the scenes of verbal mayhem...when there have been terrorist attacks against Jews and other Americans both in the U.S. and overseas...when synagogues have been the objects of attacks...when there is anger on the part of certain religious groups over actions by the U.S. and its allies...I don't see too much wrong in a rabbi--an ex-New York cop and karate black belt-- teaching a self-defense course.
