Brian May does not reject that Queen may ask Lambert to join.
It is rumored that the band Queen is considering asking American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert to become their new lead singer.
Considering that Adam named Freddy Mercury as one of his favorite singers, and sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" during his Idol audition, and the great success of Lambert's and Allen's performance of Queen's "We Are the Champions" accompanied by none other than Queen members themselves, it seems only logical that the idea might surface.
Queen guitarist Brian May, however, stopped short of confirming the rumors. Rolling Stone reports May's words on the subject, "[Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."
The rumors are reminiscent of the scenario following Season 5 at which time 4th runner up Chris Daughtry received an invitation from the band Fuel to become their new lead singer.
Lambert recent stated during an interview with E!Entertainment that he looks forward to collaborating. "We're going start working on some music right away. That's what I can't wait to do: to collaborate, to write, to cowrite, to create visuals that go along with the music, too. That's gonna be really exciting." This comment hints that Lambert may not yet be ready to conform to the style of another individual or band--even a legendary group like Queen.

It's good for Kris that he won.. Nothing else exciting is gonna happen in his life.. unlike adam..
ADAM WILL BE ICONIC!!!!! i dont see any other bands, singers or celebrities running after Kris to be part of their band. clearly, Adam will be so much more famous than Kris. Kris, if lucky, will be singing in Six Flags, or in coffee shops, while Adam is touring the world! I LOVE U ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adam Lambert is the only reason I ended up watching Idol. The guy who won is so average... Adam Lambert is legendary! He is awesome and he would be an AMAZING lead singer for Queen. Awesome, awesome, awesome! Adam Lambert rules. Simply put.
Adam was amazing with Kiss as well. They need some young energy. But I would love to see him with Queen - it was one of my favorite bands and he was amazing this season
I think it would be a beautiful thing if he joined them. It would be really extraordinary for him and Queen fans, especially for ones like me that weren't lucky enough to see Freddie in concert.
