Who said battle rap was a man's game because last I checked, the women were taking over!!
Much like the rumors have gone over the years about black people taking over all sports even those that were mainly known to have white, upper class competitors such as golf, tennis, gymnastics, etc. Female battle rappers have been hidden underground for far too long and they are at a time where they're busting loose in a culture that's been known to be dominated by MEN.
Your girl, Babs Bunny a female rapper out of the Brooklyn, NY partnered with Vague also known as "Mr Grind Season" to create the "Queen of the Ring" all female battle rap league. It is the FIRST and ONLY all female rap league in the world right now and it's giving women who rap the opportunity to test their skills and gain (or lose) respect depending on what they bring and how hard they bring it.
Watching the battles between some of these women has proven to me that women go WAYYYY harder than some men. Like, seriously... the women that enter into these battles are ruthless, poetic and some of the punchlines are CLASSICS!! The women in the league who believe they are good enough to battle, contact Babs to set up an audition, and once they audition and are determined talented enough a battle is set up. Just like any "battle" or competition everyone has their favorites for their own personal reasons but you never know how a battle might end up. All it takes is one slip of the tongue or one whack punchline and your reputation could suffer.
