Jillian Lawrence, of 42West, the public relations firm that represents Latifah, said today that the black gown Latifah wore for the show’s opening was designed by Romona Kevesza.  She donned Valentino shoes and Neil Lane diamonds.

Latifah brought Georges Chakra along for the ride again this year, donning his strapless white crepe gown with chiffon gathering at the front.  The dress featured gold and silver stones stripping at the waistband. The look was finished by Jimmy Choo shoes with earrings and cuff by Amrapali.  Chakra designed the infamous purple gown she wore when she was host last year.

Latifah’s final look was a navy gown designed by her stylist Timothy Snell, said Lawrence.  Her shoes were Stuart Weitzman's. Her earrings and ring were designed by Helen Yarmak. The bracelet was designed by Neil Lane.
