Subtle as their slogan, "A Bar. With Food," sublime as an immaculately appointed dive, and about as far as you can get from a flair festooned chain restaurant, Quality Social, in the Gaslamp, deserves to be your new favorite hangout.
Consider the location, in the middle of San Diego's famed, and now wholly accessable Gaslamp Quarter. Consider high-backed leather booth seating, a vast bar, walls of windows and appropriate televison placement. But despite the obvious, and wonderful, Quality Social offers a grilled cheese tomato soup combo and has Square One Organic Cucumber Vodka on their specialty drinks menu.
That not enough? It should be, but Quality Social is also teaming up with The St. Baldrick's Foundation for the annual Shave-a-Thon event, raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Excellent location geographically and designwise, an amazing menu, and a staff with heart. Quality Social "Go There. Love It."
