Stories do not get much more inspirational than the story of Jeanne Bice. Bice created the Quacker Factory clothing line for QVC. The line is know for its highly embellished details that are whimsical in nature.
Bice lived in Boca Raton and passed away Friday at the age of 71. Her funeral will be held today in Boynton Beach. Bice started out by selling at local flea markets. In 1995, she discovered QVC. She made it her ultimate goal and even used Post-It notes tacked around her home that said QVC Yes!
Her slogan was simple " My body is what it is. If I can't lose it, I'll decorate it." Bice not only decorated her own body, but millions of others. Her fan base is about 2 million Quackers. Jeanne could literally sell 1.5 million in sales in 2 hours on QVC according the Palm Beach Post. In 2005, she wrote her autobiography titled Pull Yourself up by Your Bra Straps and other Quacker Wisdom. Her success was based not only on her clothing designs, but the way she connected with people.
Bice had a joyful and uplifting spirit. One of her Quacker quotes from her book was " Make a Good Day." While today is a sad day, Jeanne Bice would want you to make it a good day. Put on something sparkly and fun and remember a lady who inspired us all.
