Qatar teacher arrests, this headline news today comes out of Qatar where law enforcement have made several arrests in the death of Lauren Patterson. According to UPI.com on Oct. 16, Patterson was a 24-year-old British teacher who was found dead over the weekend in Qatar.
Patterson’s body was found after she went missing this weekend. She was last seen leaving a nightclub with two men on Saturday night. Her boyfriend was first to raise the alarm when he first discovered she was missing.
She never returned home after a night on the town Saturday. Police are not saying how many people were arrested in connection with this case and they have not released any more details.
Sources are saying that one of the men Lauren went to a nightclub with on Saturday night was an ex-boyfriend. He has since left the area. Lauren's body was identified by a very distinctive tattoo that she has. Rumors are running rampant about what happened in Lauren's final hours, which is something the police are investigating today.
Police report they made “arrests” and they’ve referred the case to the Public Prosecution. This is what was relayed In a statement released today by the Ministry of Interior. Lauren’s boyfriend, James Grima, seen above in a picture taken off Facebook, has not made a statement on the arrests. He was the one to notify her friends on Facebook that she had been found and that she was dead.
