Famed MC, Q-Tip, of A Tribe Called Quest has confirmed that he is officially a member of the Def Jam/G.O.O.D. Music record label. We all know that Tip and Ye have worked together in the past. It seems that this deal is not only about a financial connection, but hopefully for the fans, a creative one as well.

“I’m excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label, I’m humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I’m excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting edge music I can.”

What does this mean for the G.O.O.D. Music album? Only time will tell. But it seems that Kanye and the G.O.O.D. folks at Def Jam are aligning with some of the games top and most respected artists for something special.
