Q-BBQ is moving into the city! The barbecue joint, which started in La Grange nearly five years ago and opened another location in downtown Naperville last year, is set to open a location in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. "We have a lot of fans from the city coming out to La Grange," said owner Michael LaPidus. "We'll probably have a couple of city locations."
Q-BBQ has also made an impression on the Michelin restaurant guide, earning a Bib Gourmand designation from the venerable restaurant guide. Bib Gourmands are awarded to restaurants with "exceptional value" where diners can order two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less. Q-Sandwiches are priced from $7.99-$8.99, Q-Plates are priced from $10.99-$11.99, and Q-Sides are priced from $1.99-$2.99.
Q-BBQ is a fast-casual dining spot where diners order at the counter and foot is brought to the table. This BBQ joint is famous for its Texas brisket, which is smoked for 15 hours, and best enjoyed with one of four homemade sauces (South Carolina Mustard, Sweet Sauce, Carolina Vinegar, or CQ Spicy Sauce). Other smoked meats include baby back ribs, Texas smoked sausage, smoked pulled chicken, Carolina pulled pork, or Memphis chicken wings. Enjoy your smoked meat piled high on a sandwich or a platter, accompanied by classic BBQ sides such as beans, slaw, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and more. Check here to take a glance at the menu.
